I'll be in the big smoke come 10.30am this saturday. Theres some game going off at wembley apparently... (I can't even joke) AARRGGHHH ONLY THE BLOODY PLAY OFF FINAL!! Myself, poppa G and the bro will be packing up the car full of crisps, ribena and enough chocolate to bring down cadburys, and heading south, along with the other 37,000+ Derby fans.
I'm not going to lie, i am a little nervous. Okay, maybe a lot nervous. For anyone not in the know, Derby finished third in the league and have been playing some cracking football for the majority of the season. I don't think many ram fans back in August would have even dreamed of us finishing in the top 6, never mind 3rd and one game away from the premiership. Saturday is a big deal, even if we didn't expect to be here.
I want us to win more so for the lads than anything. They deserve to be in the final, to get promoted, to play in the premiership. I've seen us get promoted at wembley once before, and I want this group of players to experience that.
Checklist for Wembley: black and white wig / paint nails black with white or visa versa / wash away top (after the bro sweats it up at football training tomorrow) / print off the small mountain of confirmation emails.
