please let me have your clothes!

after finally coming to terms with the fact that summer is over, i thought it was time to start looking for more autumn appropriate clothes (shopping, yayy!!) i'm more of autumn fan, and love being able to wear big fluffy jumpers, coats and boots, so im in my element.
before i decided to go crazy and start spending stupid money on things that i didn't need, i looked for some inspiration, and there it was, on my twitter feed: '@ELLEUK:Oh, Alexa, do you ever put a stylish foot out of line? Obviously not http://on.elleuk.com/1v5Qnkv'

now, i'm not a massive alexa chung fan, but my god, the woman knows how to chuck an outfit together!
i have a similar kind of style to her, so i have some of the basics already in my wardrobe: leather jacket, skinny jeans, ankle boots, striped tees, so it's more of an idea how to rework them. in terms of new pieces, i would LOVE some leather look trousers/leggings, and have been hunting high and low for some over the past couple of weeks. also, a new handbag, preferably cream and some roll/polo neck jumpers.
below are some of my favourite alexa outfits i found from the elle website, and i'll definitely be using them as reference when it comes to new season shopping. come at me, autumn!

why not y not?

so this weekend, i turned 24 (i don't yet know how i feel about this) and i thought it'd be pretty cool to spend it in the middle of the derbyshire dales, at the glorious festival which goes by the name of Y NOT.

now, i've never been to Y NOT before. i've been trying to get tickets to the bloody thing for the past two or three years, and either couldn't get anyone to go with me or couldn't get the time off work. but this year HURRAH, i managed to blag both. so off me and katie went, armed with a massive tent, much enthusiasm and some cans of cider, to Pikehall for the weekend.

I LOVED IT!!! (i will hang my head in shame and admit to being a festival newbie right now) I had so much fun. Even though it rained for the first day and a bit, it was still a proper laugh. i got to see some of the bands i'd been desperate to see over the past couple of months - catfish and the bottlemen, darlia, saint raymond, circa waves - and good god, the food was insane! big filled burritos with lime rice and homemade chilli sauce, wood fired margherita pizzas and peri peri chicken rolls with slaw. i could have lived in the main arena just for the food, it was that good.

i didn't take that many photos, too busy having a good time and that, but i did upload some to my instagram >>> here. (i was attempting to upload them onto this post, but its not playing for some reason. when i figure it out, i'll pop them on) anyways, some great memories. on to next year!!
